Medicaid Specialist

Description:
Universal Health Care Group, a privately held managed care company, is in immediate need of a full time Medicaid Specialist for ensuring prospective enrollees promptly apply and receive an active Medicaid status within a three month time period and for overseeing and maintaining the active status of Medicaid for all current memberships. The Medicaid Specialist will be responsible for completing the first contact with Medicaid pending new enrollees to explain the process, provide the list of required documents, and assist with questions regarding qualifications; conducting monthly FLMMIS eligibility checks for all enrollees to ensure no loss of Medicaid, and for reviewing all notice of case action forms received from DCF. The candidate must have knowledge of the Medicaid application process which includes the criteria needed for the Medicaid application, the ability to complete the Medicaid application (manually and online) and be able to independently problem solve Medicaid eligibility issues.
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of Medicaid application process

- Independently problem solve Medicaid eligibility issues
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
